Hyderabad Metro Rail Project Updates:Hyderabad Metro Rail project is taken up by Larsen & Turbo (L&T) worth Rs 12132 crore.Prestigious Metro Rail Project in Hyderabad is decided by Andhra Pradesh Government giving comfort and safety to public in the city.Hyderabad Metro Project Plan accepted by Andra Pradesh Government.



HMR(Hyderabad Metro Rail) is the world’s largest elevated Metro Rail PPP project based on DBFOT basis (Design, Built, Finance, Operate and Transfer). Expected to carry 15 lakh passengers by 2016-17 covering 72 Km with stations at every 1KmHMR is now poised to redefine Hyderabad’s traffic as an Eco-Friendly, Congestion free and an affordable travel option offering a fast, dust free, delay resistant travel experience.



Comprising three high density corridors, Metro Rail Network will cover a total distance of around 72 km comprising ultra-modern station buildings.

Hyderabad Metro Rail Project Updates are like:

  • This prominent and the largest Metro Project in PPP will have three elevated corridors interlacing the city of Hyderabad having metro stations en route in a distance of 1 km approximately. 
  • Such Hi-tech and environment friendly stations would be equipped with escalators, lifts and staircase for the convenience of the passengers.
  • The Metro Rail Network will pass through the principal roads of Hyderabad which connects major bus hubs, residential and commercial spots.
  • The metro would be connected to currently running MMTS services at BharatnagarBegumpetMalakpet and Falaknuma along with cardinal train terminals at SecunderabadNampally and Begumpet
  • The bus depots that would be interlinked include MiyapurMGBSKotiDilshuknagarCharminar and Jubilee Bus Station. 
  • Parking facilities would be developed on the parking & circulation areas along the corridor on the land parcels provided by the Go AP, in addition to Transit Oriented.
