HOW TO CORRECT CHANGE UPDATE MODIFIE AADHAR CARD DETAILS ONLINE SIMPLE STEPS PROCEDURE

To provide the facility of changing or updating the details of the peoples, UIDAI has launched Aadhar card Self Service Update Portal to make things more convenient. Using Aadhar card Self Service update portal, we can now modify our details like incorrect name, date of birth, gender or changed address in online or post very easily. For this we need to login using our Aadhar card number and a OTP (one time password) sent to our mobile phones. After that, we can also check  the update request status. To change our Aadhar card details follow below simple steps: 
How to change(update) aadhar card details online

Step1: click here  to go to the Aadhar card Self Service Updates Portal.


Step2: click here Enter our 12-digit Aadhar card number in the field and click on ‘Send OTP’. We will then receive a One Time Password (OTP-valid for only 15 minutes) on we registered mobile number. If our mobile number is not registered then we will be asked to input our mobile number on which we OTP will be sent.


Step3: Enter the OTP received on our mobile and the text visible on the screen and click on ‘Login’ button. Be quick because our OTP is valid for 15 minutes only. Airtel mobile users may not receive OTP due to some issue and in that case they can follow the offline method for updating their details.


Step4: Now check mark the field name which we want to update/change and press ‘Submit’ button.


Step5: Now enter the new values in the field(s) and click on ‘Submit Update Request’ button.


Step6: We will then be asked to verify the details we want to modify and if they are correct then tick mark the confirm check-box and press the ‘Proceed’ button else press ‘Modify’ button to edit we changes.


Step7: Now we will be taken to ‘Update Request Confirmation and Document Upload’ page where we have to select the Document we have as proof and then browse the scanned copy of the same document on we computer and wait till the copy is uploaded and click on ‘Submit’ button. We can also send copies of the document through post.


Step8: We will then see a ‘Update Request Complete’ page stating that ‘our update request has been successfully submitted on date. Our Update Request Number (URN) is 0000/00111/0XXXX’. We will also receive a confirmation message on wer mobile number along with our URN. Keep our URN safe as this will be used to check the status of we update/change request later on. We can also download the acknowledgement slip (in PDF format) by clicking on the ‘Download File’ button or can take a printout of it for future reference by clicking on the ‘Print’ button.


Step9: We can then logout by clicking on the ‘Logout’ link at the top right corner of the page
